William Charles Jones (Jonesy) was born in Bay City, Michigan on January 31, 1943.

"Jonesy" played lead and rhythm guitar for three years, switching to Bass several months before joining The Villagers.

As well as playing Bass, Jonesy also sang lead and harmony and was the MC for the Villagers for their live engagements.

Jonesy was the lovable "clown" of the group and gave life to their performances and television shows.

After the Villagers disbanded in August 1968, Jonesy returned to Detroit where he played in recording sessions and recorded his own albums.

Today, he plays and tours with The Reflections, the group who made the song, "(Just Like) Romeo and Juliet" famous.

He and his wife live in the Detriot, Michigan area.
